It’s been a great month for me (aside from the cold, wind and rain – I can’t wait for summer event season to come around again!) Here’s a little update of what I’ve been up to.
Corporate Events and parties

Thank you to everybody who’s hired me to perform magic at corporate events this month. A special mention to Yieldify and IQPC for booking me for the second time around!
I have booked Darren a couple of times for corporate drinks receptions and awards. He is truly outstanding, I would recommend him 100%. – Natalia Evripidou, IQPC
Thanks also to Worldpay, The Wellcome Collection and the Bank of England who booked me for events in February (that’s a photo from the Bank of England Sports Centre Black and White Party at the top of this article).
I got to visit some amazing venues over the last few weeks too – Syon House is always a favourite, and my first time at Lyaness Cocktail bar on the South Bank and China Tang on Park Lane.
Here’s a short video from WorldPay’s client event at Lyaness after the ICE Totally Gaming conference. It involves money, obviously.
February involved some magic at parties as well – two 40th birthdays and an 85th! it’s always a pleasure to be invited as a “special guest” by the host of a party – happy birthday once again to Tania, Per and Barbara!
“We were absolutely blown away by Darren and his Magic! Some of Darren’s tricks were completely beyond our imagination.” – Tania Tombak
Public Shows

I had a brilliant time as always performing at “The Magician’s Showcase” at the London Improv Theatre, and I was sad to hear the next event will be their last. I understand the organiser is looking for a new venue though, so watch this space!
Last Friday was “The Magic Circle Close-up Show” which is always a pleasure to perform at. Four magicians rotate around four small audiences – so everybody gets to see each act, and the performers get to perform their 20 minute piece multiple times!
You can purchase tickets to future events at The Magic Circle HQ from their website.
Coming up in March

Some exciting news for the month head – “Mid Week Magic Mix” is returning to Belair House in West Dulwich on the 12th. It’s a lovely venue and a great show (even if I do say myself!). Tickets available from Eventbrite.
Finally, I have a couple of talks coming up where I’ll be teaching people how to improve their memory. There are workshops and more planned off the back of this. More news soon!
That’s it for February, thanks for reading. See you in a month from now if not sooner!
