Virtual Magic Shows & Quarantine Magic: Life Under Lockdown

Wow, the world has changed quite a lot since my last update hasn’t it? I usually update this blog monthly with highlights of what I’ve been up to. But, like most of you, I’ve been adjusting to the “new normal” way of life over the last few weeks. Aside from the last “Mid Week Magic Mix” at Belair House in early March, my usual diary of events and parties has disappeared, and I’ve found myself having to adapt what I do to suit the current situation. I’m now offering Virtual Magic Shows over Zoom, plus there’s a bunch of new “At Home” magic videos on my YouTube channel. Here’s a little update about that, plus some news about my TV appearance in the US!

Quarantine Magic

When the lockdown first started, I felt the need to get on and do something to fill my time, so I released daily “Quarantine Magic” videos on my social media channels. The feedback’s been great, and I’m so pleased to hear they bought some happy moments to people during a difficult time. Here’s the last video that went out:

As it seems that most of us will be staying at home a bit longer, I’m planning to upload more of these. Follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or YouTube if you want to keep up to date.

Virtual Magic Shows

I performed my first “online magic show” at the beginning of April and have had the pleasure of entertaining many people over Zoom since then. When I put this together, it was important to me that as much of the show as possible was interactive – a show where the magic happens for the people watching, rather than just something that they passively watch. I read people’s minds and make amazing magic happen for them, even if they’re located 1000s of miles away!

In April, I entertained team members at Pinterest, and we had participants in the USA, Canada, UK, France and Germany all at once! The show is also customisable. If someone’s celebrating a special occasion, or you want to incorporate your company message, I can make that happen.

Thank you so much. I’m getting a ton of rave reviews and feedback.
It was exactly what the team needed; some fun to forget about WFH challenges right now!

Here’s a short video with some highlights from a recent online show to give to a sense of how it works.

Get in touch if you’d like to book a Zoom Magic Show for your team, or for a special celebration. I’d love to hear from you!

Magic Caught on Camera – The Travel Channel

Just before the lockdown I was approached by a US TV company to include me in an upcoming show featuring magicians from around the world. The show has since been released and is available on the Travel Channel’s Website (USA residents only I’m afraid although it will be available to purchase soon via Amazon.)

That’s all for now. The world is changing fast for all of us, and it’s very difficult to predict what will happen next. I’ll update on here with any important news. Until then, stay safe and I hope to se you back out in the “real world” soon!
