Last week, I had the privilege of performing close-up magic at the inaugural Private Business Awards – a spectacular evening at the world-famous Savoy Hotel, celebrating the very best of UK private business.
The event saw 300 attendees come together at a glittering black-tie dinner sponsored by BDO.
The evening started with a drink reception in the gorgeous River Room. I mingled with guests and performed magic for small groups, adding gasps of surprise to the buzz of conversation. Hiring a corporate event magician is perfect for events like this – it breaks the ice, sparks conversation between guests, and makes the evening truly unforgettable.
After drinks, we all moved the grand Lancaster Ballroom for dinner. After a couple of brief welcome speeches, we were treated to a lovely performance by the Singing Waiter Masters. They were absolutely brilliant – I’d recommend them if you’re looking for something fun and different for your event.
Between the courses, I performed some more magic at the VIP and Sponsor tables. When I’m booked as a table magician, I can get around to a maximum of 10-12 tables over the course of a typical 3 course meal. For larger events like this, I often book multiple magicians to cover the whole room – or in this case, just focus on the tables that matter most!
