If you’ve not heard of The Savoy Hotel, where have you been?
The luxury hotel on the Strand has been called “London’s most famous hotel”. It’s hosted a string of celebrities, royalty and other notable guests and is arguably one of the most prestigious venues in the capital.
The Savoy is also a great spot for private and corporate events – I’ve worked there as a corporate event magician on numerous occasions.
Let’s dive in to the details of booking The Savoy for your next event.
About The Savoy Hotel
The Savoy opened in 1889 and quickly became a sought-after hotel for the rich and famous. It was even the first hotel in London to have electric lights, lifts and continuous hot and cold water. Imagine the luxury!
It has 267 rooms, 5 restaurants and 3 bars, plus several spaces to hire for corporate and private events.
The road that leads up to the hotel, Savoy Court, is the only road in the UK where vehicles are required to drive on the right hand side.
Private Hire At The Savoy Hotel
Whatever the size of the event, The Savoy probably has a space for it. The hotel has multiple rooms for private events, with capacities ranging from 10 to 700 people.
Most recently, I was booked as a magician for a corporate event in the Lancaster Ballroom. It’s a large, opulent space, with room for 700 people for standing cocktails or 280 for a sit-down meal.

Annoyingly, I’m yet to booked for an event in the smallest room at The Savoy – The Sorcerer (I know!) It’s a private dining room for up to 10 people.
For full details of all of the rooms that The Savoy has to offer, you can download their meeting and events brochure here.
The Savoy Location
The Savoy is on the Strand in Central London, about halfway between Charing Cross and Temple time stations. It’s also a short walk from Covent Garden.
If you’re organising an event at The Savoy, why not hire a magician to make it even more memorable?
