Want to watch some magic on TV tonight? I’ve got just what you need!

Here’s a run down of magic shows that are available to stream in the UK right now. All of the shows listed are available to watch legally and for free, or are included in the subscription to the relevant channel.

Magic Shows on Netflix UK

Magic for Humans

Magic for Humans is a comedy magic series featuring American magician Justin Willman. Justin performs magic for unsuspecting passers-by on the street and in ordinary surroundings, and adds a modern take on some classic magic tricks. There are 3 seasons of Magic for Humans available to stream on Netflix here.

At the time of writing, a new show with Justin Willman was announced – “The Magic Prank Show”. You can watch it on Netflix from April 1st.

If you speak Spanish or don’t mind using subtitles, there is a Spanish language spin-off of Magic for Humans featuring El Magio Pop. Watch Magic for Humans Spain here.

Death By Magic

As the title suggests, in this 8-part series British magician Drummond Money-Coutts looks into magic tricks and stunts that killed the people who tried to perform them. After researching what went wrong, he goes on to recreate the stunts himself!

Watch Death by Magic on Netflix here.

Derren Brown: The Push

Originally aired on Channel 4, “The Push” is one of Derren’s hour-long experiments, where he uses a mix of psychology, influence and trickery to get people to do unbelievable things.

Can Derren influence somebody to do the unimaginable and commit murder by pushing someone off a building? Find out by watching The Push here.

Derren Brown: Sacrifice

Like “The Push”, this is another show in the series of Derren’s psychological experiments.

Can Derren convince someone to take a bullet for a stranger?

Bonus: Now You See Me

OK, this one’s not a TV magic show, but fans of magic will enjoy it. It’s a blockbuster film about a fictional group of magicians who use their skills to pull of bank heists.

The film features an all-star cast including Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson and Isla Fisher.

Magic Shows on Disney+

Beyond Magic with DMC

Drummond Money-Coutts (AKA DMC) was already mentioned earlier with his “Death By Magic” series on Netflix.

If you’ve got a Disney+ subscription, you can also watch DMC’s series “Beyond Magic”. In this show he explores the world of sorcery and witchcraft, among the oldest forms of magic.

In & Of Itself

If you watch just one magic show, this is the one I’d recommend.

A film version of Derek Delgaudio’s off-Broadway theatre show, Delgaudio combines mind-blowing magic and brilliant story-telling to explore the illusion of our own identities. It really is superb, go watch it now!

Magic Shows on Sky and Now TV

David Blaine: Beyond Magic

In “Beyond Magic”, David Blaine performs his familiar blend of close-up magic and stunts to a bunch of celebrities. The show builds up to a finale where he attempts to catch a bullet in his teeth.

Will he succeed? Find out by watching David Blaine: Beyond Magic here.

David Blaine: Real or Magic?

Another one of Blaine’s, Real or Magic features a mix of close-up magic and extreme stunts. His celebrity guests end up questioning which bits are real and what’s magic.

Dynamo is Dead

In this hour long special, Stephen Frayne ”kills off” his alter-ego, Dynamo.

The show features a bunch of great magic along with Stephen Frayne AKA Dynamo talking about mental health issues with celebrities.

For the finale, he buries himself alive and attempts to escape.

Magic on Channel 4 on Demand

There are a whole host of Channel 4 original magic shows available via 4 on Demand. Some are starting to look a little dated, but they’re still a great watch (and full of nostalgia for me!)

Derren Brown: Original TV Series

Derren first graced our TV screens in “Mind Control” back in 2000. This was followed by “Trick of The Mind” and Trick or Treat” in later years. Most of these are still available to watch on Channel 4’s On Demand service via the links below.

Derren Brown: The Specials

Two of Derren’s TV Specials “The Push” and “Sacrifice” are now on Netflix as we’ve seen already.

There are several more in this genre – you can watch the rest of Derren’s specials on Channel 4 here.

Derren Brown: The Stage Shows

Is there no end to this man’s talent? Apparently not – No fewer than 7 of Derren’s stage shows are available to watch on Channel 4.

There’s a playlist featuring 6 of Derren’s stage shows here – and his latest excellent offering “Showman” is available here.

Barry and Stuart

Barry Jones and Stuart Mcleod are possibly my favourite magic duo – sadly they don’t perform together any more (Stuart is now involved with Magic for Humans on Netflix, mentioned above.)

Two of their magic specials are still available on Channel 4 on Demand. Both shows feature them recreating “miracles” apparently performed in the Bible and by Jesus. They’re brilliant, go watch them!

I couldn’t find a trailer for this, so here’s a clip of Barry and Stuart walking on water

Dirty Tricks

Hosted by Barry and Stuart and featuring guests including Ali Cook, Pete Firman and Penn & Teller, this series first aired in 2005 and was described as “magic meets Natural Born Killers”. Make your own mind up by watching it here.
