It’s officially the season! On Friday, I did my first event as a Christmas party magician for A&O Shearman’s trainee solicitor winter ball.
The event was in the gorgeous Great Hall at One Great George Street in Westminster. I’ve been booked as a corporate event magician here a few times, and it’s always an absolute delight.
The building is home of the Institute of Civil Engineers, but also has multiple function rooms for hire, the largest being the Great Hall, which holds up to 400 people for dinner.

A&O Shearman’s winter ball was a dinner event for 140 trainee solicitors.
They were a lovely group and I mingled with everybody during the drinks reception, performing close-up magic for small groups, Then, I continued over dinner with a short magic performance for each table.
It was a black tie event so it was also a nice excuse to get dressed up!

I realised that A&O Shearman are part of the “magic circle” group of law firms. I’m a member of the “original” Magic Circle and I’ve been booked previously to perform magic for Freshfields and Clifford Chance.
If anyone’s reading this who works at Linklaters and want to hire a magician so that I can complete the rest of the ” magic circle”, I’d love to hear from you!
