Earlier this month, I was booked to perform close-up magic at the networking drinks for Finovate Europe.

Finovate Europe is an annual conference held at the InterContinental London, where FinTech professionals get together to learn about new developments in their industry and network. I’ve worked at this venue several times as a corporate event magician. It’s a great space, right next to the O2, with lovely views over the Thames.

This was the first time they’d had a magician for the networking drinks and it seemed to go well! The organisers have booked me for several events in the past, including the PayTech Awards and Banking Tech Awards. It’s always nice when clients trust you enough to book again.

I mingled with everybody as they enjoyed drinks and nibbles and performed close-up magic for small groups. It’s a lovely way to relax after a long day of business talks, but also provides an opportunity for networking. As I worked the room, I introduced people who hadn’t met yet, and provided them with a talking point after I left.
