One of the great things about working as an event magician in London is that I get to visit so many brilliant venues.
Last week I was at the Sea Containers London, a venue that I’ve walked past many times but never actually been inside. I’d been booked as a corporate event magician by a company called Transperfect for their GlobalLink NEXT 2025 event.
Sea Containers is an iconic, brutalist design building on the South Bank, just along the from the OXO tower. Featuring a hotel, cinema, cocktail bar and stunning views across the Thames, it’s a great space to consider if you’re planning a corporate event.
I was performing close-up magic during a drink reception at the end of the first day of the conference. 400 people from all over the world descended on the venue to enjoy drinks, nibbles, music, networking and magic of course.
I mingled with the crowd and performed small miracles to groups of people, often introducing folks who hadn’t met before. It really was a fun event to work at, and a reminder that magic crosses language and cultural divides. Here’s a short video with some highlights.
