Yesterday, I was booked for a really enjoyable corporate event – The Fintech b2b Marketing Awards.
The theme for 2024 was “The Magic of Marketing”, so it made sense to have a corporate magician like me to perform!
I arrived before the event for a quick tech check. This is normal when I’m performing on stage – it’s important to make sure the mics and lighting work in advance.

The awards were broken into 3 sections. After the first lot of nominations and winners, comedian Javier Jarquin performed a hilarious set, which I had the pleasure of watching before I was due to go on.
Then, a few more awards before I took to the stage to perform some magic and mind-reading. The Financial Times were hosting the event, and so I even managed to come up with a magic trick using their newspaper.

After the awards, there was a networking drinks reception. I mingled with everybody during this and did some close-up magic.
This is particularly enjoyable for me after people have seen me on stage. They know who I am and are (usually!) excited to watch meet me and see some magic up close. It makes a nice change from being a surprise guest and needing to interrupt people and explain what I do!
Here’s a quick clip of a card trick from the drinks reception
It was a lovely event to work at, I hope they have me back again in the future. If you’re looking to hire a magician for an upcoming event, do get i touch. I’d love to hear from you.
