I love doing magic for a living. It’s great fun, I get to meet a lot of interesting people and best of all, I can leave them with lasting memories that they’ll be talking about for a long time.
When I tell people I that I’m a magician, people often ask exactly what I do. I thought I’d post a monthly update here with some highlights of I’ve been up to. “Finger-Flicking” is the most alliterative description I could think of for February; here’s a clip of me showing some finger-flicking skills in the final of The Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year 2018.
Magic at Award Ceremonies
The month started and ended with award ceremonies. I was delighted to be invited back for the second year to perform at the Top Employers UK Dinner on the 1st. It’s a great event celebrating companies who’ve made a commitment to providing their employees with excellent working conditions. Later in the month I was back in the Employment sector helping to promote White Label Recruitment Marketing at The NUE Awards.

Mid-Week Magic Mix at The Illusioneer
(And I have a one-man show in March!)

I’ve been part of the team who perform at Mid-Week Magic Mix for over 3 years now. It’s a fun show in a lovely intimate venue in Herne Hill. February’s show was a particular highlight, as much of the audience was a large group who were celebrating a friend’s 50th birthday. It made for a good night!
Mid-Week Magic is on the first Wednesday of every month at The Illusioneer. It tends to sell out a couple of months in advance, so get your tickets for the summer shows while you can!
A shameless plug: I’m performing in my own showcase at The Illusioneer on 14th March. Tickets are very limited so book now to avoid disappointment!
Wedding Magic

Finally, I had a lovely time performing at Geetu and Mihir’s wedding reception at The Landmark Hotel in Marylebone. I haven’t received the official photos yet, so here I am hanging out amongst the palm trees in the lobby beforehand. The Landmark’s a lovely venue to work at and I hope to be back again soon.
Magic is a great way to keep people entertained during “lulls” at a wedding reception. This could be while the official photos are being taken, between courses at the wedding breakfast, or over early evening drinks.
If you know somebody who’s getting married, you can find how I can make the day memorable here.
That’s it for this month, tune in for more news soon about March. If you’re interested to book me for your event, get in touch for chat!
